Default Another Nova help thread

This car is local and I'm planning to go see it in the next 2 days. Please check it out and give me your thoughts - good, bad & ugly.

1970 Nova SS

Thanks in advance.

NOT a bad car. I can live with the SB, Auto but not air on SS cars. JMO. A 4 speed would be nice but for the right price own it! That car should be priced reasonable.

Don't know if I would pay to much into the 20's but that is just me.

Isn't 48 Forest Green ? Sacrilege - what a great color. Like the patina under the hood. A lot of originality and the color HAD to be changed!

Thanks guys. Keep the comments coming please. The more info the better. I called and left the guy a voicemail earlier and am waiting on a call back. He's only about 20-30 minutes away, so I'm ready to go see it as soon as I talk to him and find out what his asking price is.

Car was green and the owner changed it to red. Paint was a nice older job. It was repainted again by southern hot rods I think. Looks like they went crazy on the over spray. Overall it was well worth the money in 06. I could have bought it for 15 then and if it didn't have AC I would have in a second.

Thank you very much for all that info. With regard to the overspray, are you saying that based on what appears to be red on the sides of the gas tank or am I missing something else? Also, do you think it's possible that the red that appears on the gas tank could be a reflection from the red paint on the car and the lift? Just throwing that out there. Lastly, did you get a chance to listen to the car and/or drive it when you looked at it?

Looks like a great car... Unlike the other guys, I kinda like the AC option... It can be a pain in the a$$ sometimes but think how cool (literally)it will be this summer on a hot day when you switch that baby on and cruise in comfort...

I like the fact that it is a small block SS car.. You see so many big block SS cars...

Yeah it looks like there is some over spray in trunk and on the underneath of car from the last guys that painted it. It is a very clean original car except for the 2 repaints. Go look at it, may be the one.
