Default Water jacket filled Big Block?

I have a 512 block that I would like to use in a very limited street engine build up. The block was filled up to the bottom of the water pump inlets with a solid material (forget what it is called) as many racers in the day did. My question is will this give me any potential problems on a limited street (stock) engine with an adequate stock cooling system. Seems like I remember using blocks like this back in my teenage years with no issues.

Most of the heat is in the top of the engine, I would think you would be fine your oil temp is going to be a little higher, but the only real way to fid out is give it a burn see what happens.

------Rick,,,Red Alerts big motor was hard-blocked half way up because it was a hundred over. With the electric water pump switch on you couldnt get that "14 to 1" compression motor to overheat. As was stated above the heat is primarily in the top of the motor.........Bill S

Thanks for the responses guys. I had figured it would be ok but wanted to get a little input from anyone that has dealt with it before. I appreciate the input and feel more comfortable using it now.

As Bill said, Red Alert runs a filled block, high compression, a stock water pump, and have had no heating problems.

Well, just when I do a long burnout and toss the belt.
