I agree. That is the reason that I titled the post as I did. The article is less about the Camaro and more about bashing America.
The green movement targeted the Camaro about 6 months ago for hit pieces just like this one - not because the car was something different (or more pollution emmiting than say a pick-up truck) but because the car was so good that it was likely to be sucessful in sales - thus all the "tools" were taken out by the far left to paint the car as excessive, worng for the times or a "throwback". I am glad to see the replies here. The same loons were sucessful in convincing the government to regulate lightbulbs, so soon what kind of lightbulb you can buy (mid 2010) will be regulated to compact florcesent. BTW... I hate compact florcesent's and am stockpiling standard light bulbs that I can use in my house after that ban kicks in. They would love to get rid of the Camaro too but first they need to demonize, isolate, polarize, and attack the target. For some the next target is cars. The kinds that we like to drive. ![]() |

WOW!!! That guy is a PORK SWORD!!His parents probably drove Aries K cars. He's never been violently thrown into a fish tail in a 68 z28 in a shift from 1st to 2nd and violently smashed in the seat from second to third and by 4th your hearts racing like a lab rat on crack you dont know if you want to stop and get out or do it again. his fondest memories are of his dad over revving the 4cyl. in the Kcar and dumping the clutch as he looks over at his son with that disappointed look on his face and knows he let hin down. And till this day out of jealousy the kid still hates musclecars and writes crap articles about them cause his dad wasnt man enough to have one. Thank god theres still guys left like us and our fathers who were willing to give us all the thrill of a burnout or revving the engine of a big block nova(like my dad had) that writer needs some counselling

They're much larger than a regular 12 volt battery and not as easy to dispose of. I've handled one accident where a Prius high voltage battery case was breached, HAZMAT had to come out and clean up the spill. All of a sudden, that Camaro isn't so bad.

Think of it this way: news people write/cover stories tailored for their local audience. In San Fracisco this kind of "reporting" sells. In Alabama, for example, a reporter might say that the new Camaro is wonderful and that he (or she) can't wait to buy one. The SF "reporter" has succeeded in getting our attention and if he knew that a popular musclecar site was reacting negatively to his article he would probably be happy and think "mission accomplished." The one thing "reporters" like this guy is scared of is being ignored. That would be my suggestion: ignore this guy.
