Default Original AC A212CW Air Filter

NOS air filter which does not include box. Very nicely yellowed. This filter, in my opinion, would not be assembly line correct for a vehicle prior to 1974. If it is your intent to have your pre-1974 car seriously judged, I would discourage you from purchasing this filter for that use. Otherwise, it would look great installed and perform as intended.

$60.00 which includes shipping to any paid member of this site.

Thanks,

Mark Donnally

This is the same filter Charley has posted pics from on his survivor "70 Z28" Why do you say it's not correct for pre 1974???

I'm guessing the generally accepted filter for the '70 and earlier is the square mesh vs. the expanded metal.

The question is: This is the same filter Charley has posted pics from on his survivor "70 Z28" Why do you say it's not correct for pre 1974???

Because John Hinckley has engineering data (documents) to support the date change. Should it be considered assembly line because a member has one on a car? Should it be considered that only if it is on a specific members car? Pete Lindahl has AC engineering documents to support specific date changes in the screen configuration on these filters, but, it seems the endless litany of opinions I see are based on someones personal opinions, or, so and so has one on his car or the judges look for this one or that one.

Charlie certainly has some great cars that could serve as examples. Charlie, is the air filter element on the car described in the above post absolutely known to be an original, or better yet, THE one that came attached on that car from the assembly plant? If so, how is that known?

Concerning the one I just sold, I said that 'it is my opinion' concerning the applicable date of use based on known engineering data. By the way, what do three question marks indicate?

Regards,

Mark

You surely seem to be a knowledgeable fellow based on what I've read from your posts, but, I'll respectfully point out you've stated yourself that you are 'guessing'.

I would be willing to bet Randy is a great guy just like everyone else on this site. I'm just happy to be here...or anywhere for that matter.

Exactly Mark. Not in any way questioning you. It was just a quasi response to Randy's query. No offense intended.
