69 Pace Car Antenna On Rear Right Fender

I have a 69 Pace car (396)that has been restored, it has the antenna on the back right fender near the top of the trunk, right of the hinge for the trunk lid.

Was this an option or did the pervious owner move it there?

No rear antennas on D80 equipped cars.
