I don't own one but I did take a blue one out twice....ended up not buying because the driving position didn't agree with me...was too little legroom for me...oh and the dealer was a greedy pig...wanted way too much over sticker...but it rode really well, power galore, nicely screwed together.

My brother just bought an Azure Blue '04, stick. He loves it ! It's his first real performance oriented car. He put a shorty-throw shifter in it already, but other than that, he's keeping it stock. Neat cars.

PS - He dynoed his last weekend at the Ford Carlisle meet, and the thing made 281HP at the rear wheels. Seemed pretty respectable to me. I think that they are rated at about 315 at the flywheel. Of course now he thinks he'll be able to whip up on my Olds ...... YEAH RIGHT - - In his DREAMS !! ![]() |

A Pontiac buddy of mine in Texas bought a new 2003 Mach 1. He's a racer at heart, and definately knows how to shift (he also has an 11 second street driven Firebird). He bolted on a set of Nitto drag radials onto his new Mach 1, and hit a 12.99 @ 106.2 mph in some good air. At first I thought it wasn't that big a deal, because Z06's and Vipers are quicker, plus he had to do it on drag radials. But when you sit back and realize that for around $25K, the guy has a brand new, warrantied car, that's a solid low 13 second daily driver.

![]() Cheaper than a new GTO, and in my opinion, the Mach 1 really looks like a modern day Musclecar. Gotta love that shaker scoop...
