These fellas are correct Verne, this hubcap was available on the '61 Impala--and the tri-blade center was on the '61 Impala SS---Source==Super Sports by Terry Boyce ---If possible ,can you show any pics of your '62 convertible,?--would like to see it

Thanks guys. I actually have a set of four and won't be using them. I guess if I put them on Ebay now, I'll know how to advertise them.

Allen,
Before you advertise those caps, you might want to consider the following.

1961 Chevrolet Finger Tip Facts (the salesman's book of specs):
Regular Equipment section:
"Wheel Hub Caps, Bright Metal. Standard on all conventional Chevrolets and Corvair 500 and 700 models"
Optional Equipment section:
"Wheel covers: Vented. Dealer installed accessory or factory optional accessory (FOA 117) for all conventional Chevrolets. Crossed flags with ""Chevrolet"" above and below stand on black painted background of center of cover"

1961 Passenger Car Specifications book:
Regular Equipment section:
"Stainless Steel Hub Caps - All Models"
RPO & FOA section:
Chassis: "Disks, wheel #117 - All Models
Dealer Installed section:
"Cover, Wheel (disk type) - All models

Engineering Specs section:
There is a photo of the disk pictured at the beginning of this thread. Under the photo is printed "Accessory Wheel Disk All Models"

Best regards,
Verne
PS: Yes, I am the Project Chairman for our club's Cowl Tag Project and run our Documentation Service for '58-'64 Chevrolets.
And there's a photo of my old '62 on our club site: jerseylategreats.com

By the way, I don't know much about Pontiacs, but they are my second love. I'd have as many of them in my garage as Chevys if I could afford it.

VerneFrantz,
Looks like it was available on all models including the Impala so it seems everybody had a piece of the puzzle At least we all agreed it was chevrolet ---Saw your car-- ride--380hp? --like the dash-mounted tach--really stands out with the convertible----JoeG--
