| "The Hungarian" 57 210 Chevy

Anybody remember or know where I night get pics of this car. It won it's class at the 1968 Winternationals in Pomona. Stock/Modified. Silver with Blue stripe, said "The Hungarian" on the door, Cragers and big block with crossram. Guy lived in Orange Co., Ca. Let me see if I can load current pic. Thanks.

Was John Barkley the driver? This picture is from 72 and I can't make out the colors or the name Hungarian, but Barkley won in 68 at Ponoma and it was apparently the first National title won with a powerglide. .02 |

Thanks Chris If I can figure out my new cell phone and email myself a pic I can post it. I also have a pic of the results with the man's name. It was not the car you pictured. His last name is very Hungarian and he had dual scoops put into the hood for the carbs ala Mopar. Car also has Belair trim. I have another 210 post straight axle car that looks like the one you pictured though, humm...

With the help of a 19 year old I figured out the cell phone. Driver was T. Viszolay. Wasn't that a name from a Seinfeld episode?? If you can read the results, 2 things jump out. Chevy was dominating, and Dick Landy's name is on top with a Mopar.

Dana, you have a PM. correction , John Barkley in a similar 57 Chev in 1968 was only a winner of a national event, not title. Still the first with a power glide.(all according to Algores internet) |

| It’s in good hands

The Hungarian is currently owned by a very good friend of mine. He’s in the process of restoring the car and when he’s done I’m confident that it’ll be faster than it was in 68.
