What ever happened to these tires???? Did the project get shelved due to lack of interest or lack of buyers???
The thread pattern that was picked is hideous does that have something to do with it never happening?? Before I have to but a Fire Stone that never came on my car I'd love to see GY radials come to market if done properly. Ron

The tire is still available.
The story on the tread design is that the tread came off of the Blue Streak Highway Patrol special. Mr. Kelsey decided to go that direction. His thought was what if the Polyglas name had continued into the radial era…. This was the weather balloon to see if future projects should be run….

I had several sets of the Goodyear Police Radials over the years and they were a reriffic tire. It’s too bad it didn’t catch as a Polyglass replica.
