This is an original deep sump Big Block Chevy oil pan. I believe these were factory installed on 67 L88 engines and possibly 68 COPO Novas. This pan was also available over the dealer parts counter as an upgreaded Heavy Duty part. This pan came off of a 68 427 that was installed in a 1966 Chevelle early in its life. I believe the GM HD part number for this pan is 3879633.
This pan is in good condition as shown. The only significant damage is in upper hump on the bottom has been pounded in for clearance as shown when being used in the 66 Chevelle. With a little heat and some time, this should be a fairly easy job to make it cosmetically cleaner. That said, it was working as designed in the Chevelle just as you see it here. The oil pump and pickup are also included as shown. This is a very rare and hard to find factory GM deep sump oil pan. I have posted this oil pan with pump and pickup on Ebay starting at with no reserve. Free shipping for paid members in the continental US and $30 off shipping for international buyers. I remember those when you could buy them over the counter...everybody had one. They fit fine on a Nova...nice piece.
