Pictures from today - needs paint & the interior of an 88 has been swapped into it. 109k on it now.

Honest car, with nothing to hide - just what I was hoping for. I've got some work ahead of me but I still can't believe it survived!

How did you determine it was in Janesville if you don't mind me asking.

I got an AutoCheck vehicle History Report - it showed registration events & dates, even title numbers but didn't give names or street addresses, just city & state. It was in Janesville from 1998 to now & Iowa before that.

Thanks, I have been looking for a certain car, used Nmvtis and all I was able to get was the state that it was registered in, in 1982. Congratulations on your search and find. My vin is 13 characters and will not work with AutoCheck.

So we got it on a lift last night & there's good news & there's bad news....

1st the good news - after spending it's first two winters in Boston & the last 16 years in Wisconsin there is damn near no rust on the car and no major accidents/repairs. What little there is can easily be fixed and the minor dings & dents can be handled with the full repaint. That's the easy part!

The bad news - the current owner who's had the car for about 11 years has a dog that he brings with him EVERYWHERE and the dog TRASHED the original interior. The interior will need a complete re-do in the hard to find, 1 year only grey custom cloth with deluxe luggage compartment trim.

I'm not overpaying for what it is especially considering the rare combination of options & my history with it so I guess it's not that bad. Just more work than I had been expecting.

The first picture is the rear body panel where the bumper cover attaches to it, 2 - is the driver's floor seam where the firewall comes down, 3 - back seat now, 4 - front seats now, 5 - what it should/will look like.
