Default 1970 Nova M22

This M22 has very low miles on it just as the motor I posted, about 3500 or so. When I first got it it had a small drip from the counter shaft which I repaired with the help of a local Muncie ace. Has a Nova VIN (W157442) on it. Will have more info to post later in the day.

$1700 of best offer.

Darren, you may want to check that VIN again, M22 was not an available option for a Nova in 70. 68 and 69 yes, 70 no.

That is what I am being told. The VIN is real but the build stamp is kinda weird as the "C" is not so in line with the rest of the characters. Not sure the motivation would be to restamp a trans that wasn't going into a Nova in the first place. I'll get some pics soon.

It is still for sale as I don't really have a use for it.

If I remember correctly it is dated P0RxxC. I can't remember exactly as I don't have the trans here. I will try and snap pictures of it this week.

Are you sure it's a M-22? I had a 72 trans I thought was one. M40 splines, drain plug in the bottom. I took the side cover off and the gears were not straight cut.

764 tailhousing is for a Full Size car I believe. Novas, Camaros, Chevelles etc came with a 564 tailhousing (shorter) I may be wrong though
