Looking to redo my steering "rag joint" coupling. Are these new replacement disks from Advance Auto easy to install/worth the trouble/or better just to get a new one? I see Rick's sells a replacement one, but I assume it's the same thing Advance has. Mine is manual steering. Are the manual disks 3 3/16" diameter? That seems to be all I see at Advance other than 2 5/8" which is way to small. Mine seems to measure about 3 1/16", but is worn and folded some. Any advice? Thanks.

Forget the blister-packed "rebuild kits" from the "Help" section with the plain rubber disk and loose nuts and bolts - they're junk, and aren't safe. Either buy a new one, or send yours to Corvette Steering Service (www.corvettesteering.com) - they can rebuild rag joints correctly, with the right parts.
