Default Ran up on a cool car to restore

An older gentleman dropped his 1971 camaro off a few months back to be tuned. The car looked real solid and had split bumpers but i payed little attention until i opened the hood and looked at the trim tag. How about it was a factory rs Z28 black on black with white stripes. After tuning the car i told the guy if he ever wanted to sell it let me know. Well last week he called and had a figure in his head we agreed on and now it belongs to my uncle. When he dropped the car off after the purchase he gave us the original owners manual, credit union check from 3-3-71,the buyers order where a 1966 mustang was traded in on it and listed all the equipment. He even had the insurance papers from the same day the car was purchased showing his friend(who purchased the car originally)speeding ticket from 3-70.He purchased the car from his friend in 1980 and has never even driven the car. Now its time to get after the restoration. Just thought i would share this because most people just don't understand.

It has all the original interior and in real good shape. The body is very good. The bumpers are great and not bent. The original shifter is still in the car.The factory 10 bolt is still in the car and so is the original trans. The engine is not the correct one but is close on the date. The owner told me he and his friend put the engine in a truck around 1978. I wish i could get my hands on the correct engine.
