I'm trying to gain some knowledge about the "correct" ignition coil used in these cars.
According to J MacNeish the coils came with 202 BR stamps. I 'believe' this was the case for early cars & wondered if the coils changed to the 270 BR coils later in the production year. The same as flat hood '69 Z's My car is June built & want o find this out ASAP. So.... what have you guys got on your '68's & please add the build month. Thanks in advance, Rob

John,
You're right & I'm definitely not an expert. There's probably no such animal as a 202 BR. Your coil would look great on my engine.... ![]() On ebay the other evening a Corvette resto company had New GM (Delco) 202 coils for $69.99 BUY it now. In the pic it looks identical to yours....maybe the way to go. ![]() I tried to look it up to add a link but now I can't find it, typical... I'm looking forward to hearing from other guys. Thanks, Rob

I have a 293BR coil on my 69Z.Don't know if that is correct for my car,but the BR is on it, so maybe there is a 202BR.

From what I have learned, the 293 was for a NON cowl hood car and the 270 is for a cowl hood car. This was told to by Larry Christensen in Colorado.
