my girlfriend likes this Z/28,but the seller has no docs, and says it's 13k actual miles, but has a blank stamp block, and missing original air cleaner.

anybody else see anything that would make her run from this car>?

For sure, the paint under the hood on the inner fenders is not even close to matching the exterior.

Also, what is up with those stripes?

Im no so sure the car began life as a Z/28. I would love to see the trim tag and many more under side picks.

how do you call a vehicle "18000 mile unrestored documented survivor " and then say this in the same desription; "IT COULD BE A REPLACEMENT MOTOR I DONT KNOW" is that OK?

I'm not questioning the car, just the wording of the ad.

You may not agree but I don't see a repaint and a motor change qualify as a "survivor" car. Again, I am not making any judgements on this car, just finding current day descriptions in ads carelessly using terms that no longer mean what they did twenty or ten years ago.

Car has been here in Erie Pa. from day one, original owner is available, A real Z without question, nice older lacquer repaint in orig color, great orig interior, NEVER any rust, non orig motor but a '73 automatic Z motor strangely enough, miles are likely correct as car seldom driven over the years, correct trans & rear. Overall a really nice little car but it is what it is. I know who is selling it but I have nothing to do with the sale, just advising our members.

The "T" in the VIN denotes a true Z28, so the trim tag should indicate the same. For me a "Survivor" 18k mile car that has had the engine replaced along with a new coat of paint, doesn't qualify as a survivor car anymore. For only 18k miles, it must have been a rough ride. This car should be in near showroom condition with that mileage.
