I have a Holley 4346 carb dated 893. Front metering plate of 5583 and rear plate of 4519. This is an old original carb needing rebuild/restore but is complete with all original parts and everything moves freely. $600 plus shipping. I also have a 4557 carb dated 013 for $900. 4557 can be seen here Holley 4557 ad. I need the money for my JL8 restoration so it's going to a good cause.

Is that in the correct range for a 0917 L78? If so I'll take it.

The carb is dated 3rd week of Sep and so is your engine. It might be too close even though I guess it's possible. Check to see what some of the guys say. I think a 1 month lead time seems to be the general thought to go by.
