Default Mystery Motor Exhaust manifolds on eBay

Anyone else watching these?.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayIS...302797&rd=1

Looks like this seller's just starting on eBay...wonder what else he's stashed away?.

I could be wrong but I do not believe there are ANY interchangeable parts between the two engines.

Here is his web site.

http://www.engineslimited.com/

From Omro Wisconsin.

Some of his info seems to be listed as Engines Unlimited also.

They look similar, but not the same as the set in the Petersen Museum.

Verne - don't you need these to go with your intake?

I really DON'T care for the term "restoration engines". We all know what that means! #$%^&*(

I'm w/ you on this one Verne...just a sweet way of saying restamp and clouding the truth from those who don't know what it really means.. Most surprising to me is who I've seen on this site refering to them as Ok?.

So where's the pics from...and is that a one of none '70 2dr. Sedan behind the '62?.

That dual quad Mystery Motor intake manifold that Verne posted is a work of art. Probably the only one ever made and worth it's weight in gold. Just think of the implications of that piece being developed. NASCAR had a single 4-BBL rule so that means the Mystery Motor was going to start appearing in drag cars. Maybe even street cars. Then the 1963 GM racing ban went into effect and all was lost. You know, Smokey was a big fan of the Mystery motor and claimed it was an engineering marvel and easily capable of 2HP per CID. He was not impressed in 1965 when the modern MKIV debuted and the ports were moved around to accomodate head bolts out of convenience. A real shame.
