Want input on super low mile appraisals I'm doing.

I had a couple of very unusual but very nice low mile vehicles that I am in the process of writing appraisals for. I'm finding true comparables hard to come by, and the price guides don't seem right to me. So anyone wanting to put in their 2 cents worth can post or PM me. Thanks in advance.

1. 1966 Chevrolet C10 1/2ton pickup, fleetside w/8ft bed. 8783 miles, last driven regularly in 1968 or so, but regularly started and driven a little around the farm in the following years. Turquoise on gray, a little wear on the top of the tailgate, but otherwise looks like a 1 year old truck. Build sheet behind the seat looks like new. 250 6cyl/3 on the tree. No rust ANYWHERE. Just a strippo farm truck, but WOW. Books show #1 topping at $18K or so, with a 20% deduction for 6 banger, but $14-15K seems strong to me. I'm thinking $10k-12K to the right guy, but would like more input.

2. 1984 Pontiac Trans Am. 1900 miles. Brand New. Black w/gold tape and early Turbo wheels. T-tops, NO A/C or cruise(they all seem to have air), LG4 305/5.0L with T5 5 speed transmission. Power mirrors, windows, door locks, AM/FM/cass w/funky EQ, etc. Brand New. Did I say Brand New? It's not my favorite year for 3rd gens, but there just aren't any like this out there, particularly black/gold 5 speeds-even if it is an LG4 slug. An '87 w/4K miles did Ebay at $13,200, and a dealer stored '83 w/71 miles brought $26K, but that was at a high-dollar collection auction with factory experimentals selling alongside it, so I don't think that's representative. Books end at $7-8K, but that's not representative of a car like this. I'm thinking $15K, but I honestly don't know yet if that's selling it short or giving him delusions of grandeur. Help!

I forgot about those! No, not that super funky EQ, just the semi-funky integral 5 band EQ with sliders on the face. (Seemed awfully hi-fi at the time....)

If I had my choice to buy either of them for $10,000, I'd take the truck.
Just my opinion.

Might want to look at the results from the Atlantic City Collector car auction this past February. An '83 came through, still on MSO with little to no miles that didn't sell with a high bid of $33,000.00 and a reserve of $40,000.00. This may have been the same car you noted but at a different auction. There some muscle cars at the AC auction, but it's certainly not a muscle car auction and the car didn't sell there.
