Affectionately known as "The Bassboat" for its early 1970's psychadelic paint job, it's originally a plum crazy purple, 4 speed car. Neat car (of course it's not mine) Original born with drivetrain and build sheets. I know the seller from way back and he has recently been selling off some of his rarer cars (a few 73 SD455s here, a few 1970 Stage 1 4 speed ragtops there, etc - I wish I could say I had a few of something like that!)
Anyway here's the ebay link, it should be fun to watch. Of course you have the usual goobers posting stupid comments already. I kinda wish he would only upload the intelligent questions, but the dumb ones usually are entertaining: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Plymouth-...1QQcmdZViewItem |

I love the paint but I'd repaint it and ask 2.6MM!

Worth every penny to Mopar guys or anyone wanting to buy a good Mopar....he knows an awful lot about those cars and his paper is practically required.

You could spend about $75,000 to get it to original 1000 point perfect and then get well over 2 mill for the car since it is THE best color for a Hemicuda and it is a four speed car with paperwork. It all depends if you want a time capsule Day 2 car or an original "as produced" car. I'd paint it back to purple... and the keep it.

Galen's name has lost some of it's "pizzaz" in the last couple of years in the Mopar World. Try to look him up at a national event .... ya ain't gonna find 'em ........ interesting.

Galen losing pizzaz?? I dont know about that I was on a 2 month waiting list to get my Hemi car inspected and then they said it would take another 3 months to get the paper work back.. Personally I wouldnt be attending all the shows either if I could make money like he does going around and inspecting cars and getting $75hr for talking on the phone. Pretty sure he is still in demand.

I've dealt w/ Galen a few times over the past 20 years or so and always considered him a straight up guy...although not inexpensive, always worth the dough spent!.
I wasn't initially enthused w/ his 'GTS' repop tag business but considering the way things have gone in the Chevy world can more appreciate how since we can't stop these from appearing anyway, it may be better that the source for these is also documenting them as such in his database...that information is then held hostage unless you buck up though?. GTS Link - http://www.gvgovier.com/ While on the subject, Marti offers a similar repop tag service for Fords too.. Marti Link - http://www.martiauto.com/ ~ Pete ![]() |
