The steering wheel is from a later 70's Camaro. And the rims are Z28 and early 70's chevelle specific, they wouldn't be the correct rims. How would I know? because they are the same kind I incorrectly put on my 70 RS/SS 396.

I was going to go look at this car a couple month's ago when it was listed locally but took a pass when I was told they wanted mid 50's. It will likely be at the Mecum auction in Des Moines this summer if it doesn't sell. I think the owner works for Mecum or is a partner in the business.

-------Car went thru the Belvedere auction several weeks ago. Dont know if it sold or not. I had never seen Houndstooth in a 70 before and checked the car out a couple of times during the auction but didnt look at it closely............Bill S

Not really a houndstooth, but the Custom Cloth Black with White accents..............as shown in the very popular Unrestored Survivor 70 Z-28 owned by Jack Seymour.
We shall miss his presence this year at Carlisle........ The SS emblem on the RS grill is wrong (The standard grill does however get the centered SS emblem) I am NOT sure about lack of block VIN stamping on this late built L.A. L-34, but I'd like to hear what some of the www.nastyz28.com guys have to say.......... ![]()

Same interior as my L78 car. That black/white checkered cloth interior gets lots of compliments at shows and cruise nights. Most people did not know it was ever available in the 70 Camaro(I didn't know either until I got the car).

What would be the correct wheels? The thin spoke 14x7 ? |
