Default I Am Comfortable In Believing I Am Not Insane...

...however, to the average person it must appear I am. I just received the smog system today from Bill Hodel for my 69 Camaro. The original is long gone. Here I am with my eyes glazed over and a big stupid grin on my face looking all goofy, peering at this beautiful all original set up Bill sent me. To the average soul, it would seem insane that I could think this is so neat and would pay so much for it.

Doesn't Bill do awesome work? A restored original system including the hoses and clamps. Almost a shame to put it on a car (Brian and Joe won't look at it that way).

I am going to let this one fly under the radar until the boyz in Latrobe are finished with it. That will be a good time to post PICS.

------Mark,,,I grew up the next town over from Bill in Ohio and he is the real deal. You cant possibly meet a better, more straight forward, honest guy. You just cant! Hes found a nitch and he has taken advantage of it and is doing well and yet treats everyone as if they are the only one hes doing business with. Always absolutely fair. I always just send him whatevever smog stuff comes with the car (if any) and just let him tell me what I need.
------And, Mark,,, Get back in the air so you can keep up all this foolishness..........Bill S

If you don't mind, I'd be curious to see what I would have to shell out for this. It is one of the few things that I need for the L78.

Dan,
Bill has some options for smog systems. One is a very nice system with some repro parts for, I believe, around 1600 bucks. The system in the PIC above is all original with no repro parts and includes original hoses and was 4500 bucks.
Regards,
Mark

I made the same move last summer. Got the entire restored system for my Chevelle. Makes an otherwise nice restoration, a top notch restoration, by paying attention to the details.
