Just wait until you see the lines trying to board this
monster. You need upper & lower ramps and most airports can't facilitate them. Also, can you imagine the confusion trying to board all those passengers on two levels? ![]() It's a very big gamble. One that Boeing felt was not worth it. Steve

Board? How about evacuate a full one in the 90-second FAA time limit? I don't think Airbus has met that requirement yet.
If it's not Boeing, I'm not going. |

how about 500-800 people at a baggage claim, Airbus has so far secured one order. Once the major airports see that nobody is buying these pigs they will make the exorbitant cost of converting a facility/hub the airlines problem, supposedly JFK Airport in NY spent 150mm for upgrades, what a joke

Imagine the wait time alone just to join the mile high club.

Those wait times and lines for boarding and waiting for bags are worth it to those who have to go point to point and can eliminate a stop and all the issues that occur with layovers. 1000 more miles of range compared to a 747-400. It will be interesting to see if Airbus's gamble pays off. Glad I don't travel international much anymore.
