Default 1970 Nova SS 396 L34 - numbers matching

This is a 1970 Nova I just picked up. It is a Florida car and is perfect underneath, solid floor and trunk. But has some rust on exterior of the body. Parts that need replaced for sure are the hood, deck lid, rear tail panel. Front fenders need just a patch panel and can be saved, same with rear quarters. Rockers are good and roof looks good. Dash has sum rust near windshield.
Now the good stuff, this car is a 396 SS 350HP 4 spd car. Currently has a 1972 396 block in it but the original block with matching VIN is included with this car, CTX block, Munci trans - I assume is original but have not been able to verify the trans and rear, but they are the correct muncie and 12 bolt rear. This car was originally Fathom Blue with Black bench seat interior - missing the front bench - rest of interior is intact and in decent condition. Would be a beautiful car done. ANy more questions you have or for additional pics please call me or email. I am going to start at $15,000 - no reasonable offer refused.
It won't let me post pics for some reason - if someone can do that i can email them, or you can view a few at Novas.net - as listed recently.

Thanks
Mike

Trim tag info?

Looks like a fender gill car, and from the looks of the strippo exterior I'm gonna guess it's a 731 interior!

no paper that I could find, and yes it is a 731 interior. Other trim tag info is build date of 07A, paint code 28 28, and I believe on the bottom in the middle there is what I beleive is an A and then a number 1115. I am 'hoping' that the heads on the motor in the car are original to the car but I have not been able to check that out. I will try to do that soon. And it does have the fender gills - they are on the back seat - as are the hood louvers - nicely tarnished by the salty Florida air!

Sounds about right! That 731 interior is a tough interior to put together, us deuce guys can appreciate it! The seat covers are not reproduced, we buy the material in bulk from SMS in Oregon and have the covers made.

The 'A' indicates that the interior items and paint are black to match the seats, ie; kick panels, dash pad, headliner, etc... Since there is no single digit after the 'A', that indicates that there are no exterior moldings on the car, ie; drip rail, door frame, body side, or rocker. The 1115 number is an internal mfg sequence number based on the research we've done, this number usually starts over when there is a color change - sometimes when there is a transmission change.

Nice car btw, good that it has a late build date - makes parts hunting a little easier.
