Default engine pad help... pictures inside

what do you guys think of this engine pad? what does it decode as?

For comparison, here is a shot off my old 27,000 original mile '70 Camaro... Van Nuys car too. I think the match is dead on for the character style, depth of stamp etc.

Looks like a 1970 Camaro 402/350 Hp High Perf 3 or 4 speed manual engine. This engine was also installed in Chevelle and Nova applications. Based on the L plant stamp, it should be a Camaro application.

In general I agree,but based on the CON VIN beginning with the number 5 to indicate Camaro.
Chevelle/Elcos were also made at Van Nuys (L) plant,but began with the number 1 or 2.

I would want to see it with no paint on it. Looks very deep.

Just noticed that the VIN stamp between the engine and tranny do not match. The fonts appear different. I assume the tranny shown in the other post goes with the engine.
