Best of luck finding the right home for this important vehicle in the history of Chevrolet! .
This is THE first Mk1V production vehicle, right? . Didn't it hit 900 plus last time on eBay? And in the current eBay ad, the reference to the documents included note the Chevy Vehicle Engineering Assignment list of Oct. 1965...wouldn't this be Oct. 1964? . A truly amazing car! . ![]() ~ Pete

The owner of the blown black Z16 used to hit up the car cruises around the Claremont-San Dimas area where I used to live. Always thought it was cool to see something that rare at a show in the Pep Boys parking lot!

Thanks, Bruce!
And Pete: 1. It is the earliest known built Chevrolet with the Mark IV BB that was eventually sold to the public. An Engineering employee by the name of Tim Hunke was the first owner - a great guy who found me via Z16Chevelle.com in Jan of this year. 2. eBay last year was an ad for the upcoming AZ auction. I was very specific about that in the listing. The reserve was set high 'cause I was pretty indifferent about selling. I'm ready, now. 3. The Engineering Vehicle Assignment List is, indeed from Oct of '65. The car was built at the Baltimore plant and shipped to the GM Tech Center in Warren, MI in late Dec '64. Engineering played with the car until Feb of 66 (yes, they had it over a year). I'm sure it was on all the other Assign Lists during this time frame - I feel real lucky to have this one! Have to quit talking about it. I'll get all re-enthused again and won't want to sell. It may go cheap since my reserve is set low. As much as I'd like, I can't keep 'em all....... Dave |

eBay yanked my listing. I used a line of keywords and didn't realize that was a no-no. Guess I was one of the unlucky ones that got caught. I'm working on a deal, otherwise I'll relist it. Thanks for the interest.
