Why is it people have to cut other people's cars? Yenko's did look just like a Chevelle with stripes when they were new, duh!!! Maybe because that is what they are. That is like saying your GTO looks just like a Tempest...with emblems!

Yeah, it is a real SS 396 auto on the column-bench seat car, just like the original that showed up at the Mecum Auction. It was a Fathom Green car. If this was repainted to the original Fathom Green, it would be a dead on copy. we just didn't want to repaint a car that had just been painted. The SS emblem above the Yenko emblem on the front fenders, we left on for the same reason, did not want to fill in holes and repaint. All other emblems are stick-on.

And oh, by the way, Daytona Yellow was one of the colors ordered by Yenko for some of their cars.

[/ QUOTE ] I WAS JUST SAYING THAT IF YOUR GOING TO BUILD IT DO IT RIGHT. THEY NEVER HAD A BENCH SEAT,NO SS EMBLEMS ON DOORS,NO SS EMBLEM IN THE GRILLE AND ONLY A FEW WERE BUILT IN THAT COLOR. I ALSO THINK IF IT WERE GREEN IT WOULD LOOK THE PART MORE. IM NOT BASHING IT ITS JUST NOT A CLOSE TO A YENKO AS YOU THINK IT IS. Wrong. Many Yenko Chevelles had bench seats. I'd bet more had bench than buckets actually.
