Default Frank Magallon's Beautiful Blue SS Chevelle

This is the final chapter in my Yenko ownership saga. Everything you see in the first picture is basically the result of the proceeds of my Yenko Deuce sale.

My wife and I are as happy as can be in our Chicago Bungalow (circa 1924 ) As you could have guessed, I could NOT be without a muscle car so I purchased this car in March. Working on a limited budget all I could afford is a simple NOM SS 396 Chevelle so here she is

My Chevelle was shipped on 3/13/70 to Mike Savoie Chevrolet in Troy Michigan. The car has been in many states and has had many owners till it was bought by a friend of mine who wanted to upgrade to a drop top so he decided to part with it. What really sold me was the absolutely beautiful color of Astro blue which I don't believe I have ever seen on another Chevelle and with the blue interior it really makes for a striking combination. In the sun the color sparkles like a jewel

The car also has some interesting features such as a factory rear defrost (which I also have never seen) and still retains its unused General spare and SS wheel. I decided to do a very mild day 2 modification with the factory size and style tires and Cragar wheels which with the color combo look awesome in my opinion. I also added a freshly polished pair of Mickey Thompson valve covers and plan to add a Sun Super Tach at a later date. There are a few incorrect things that were done that need correcting and future plans include a new master cylinder and correctly finished brake booster along with correcting the hack job someone did to the dash for an after market radio.

For now I am very happy with the car and am even happier with the column shift auto as rowing the gears on the Yenko on my crowded city streets was a chore I hope you all enjoy the pictures and I even included some alley shots from behind my apartment building which I know some people liked from a different members feature.

Frank Magallon

HEY! Since when do you go buying a car without making sure the guy has one for me too? Congrats Frankie... Looks like a real nice car, at least it will when you pitch those Cragars. j/k....Looks killer with the wheels, and a great color combo too.

BTW, It looks like we're gonna need to start a Chevelle Shootout at SCR so you can continue to collect those giant trophies.

Frank,
I hated to see you sell the Deuce but knowing what you had in store made it seem a little easier not too mention you seemed very happy about the decision which is really what counts. I never really liked a blue interior in any car but in this Chevelle it looks great and keep the Cragers, they look great as well! I second the shootout! Nice buy Frank, let me know if I can help you in any way.

Frank,

Thanks for your participation in the Members Rides with your really cool blue Chevelle. I thouroughly enjoyed talking to you last year at SCR8 and watching you race your Deuce.

Your Chevelle looks "just right" the way that you have it now...don't change anything.

BTW, the bungalow is awesome...Hey,

I'd say we're pretty close to it right now!

Frankie, I'm thrilled to see the new ride! Hard to get away from those Chevelles, ain't it.

Perfect color combo, Column Shift = , love the Cragars; but where's the finned rear end cover? (BTW, I'm also a little partial to '20's Bungalows! )

Overall, I'll have to say your Ol' man did a pretty good job of raisin' a kid.

Congratulations, my friend.

(Hey, ya wanna sell that old General 700 BIA/BELT? )

Hi Frank,

Nice home, beautiful car I think that blue/blue color combo is stunning, too I suspect you will be able to have just as much fun with the Chevelle as you did with the Deuce
