I sent the following email via the ebay email system to the owner:

"Sir,

The buildsheet that you display in your ad for your "Gold '69 L78 Chevelle" is not a "factory buildsheet" but is a forgery. The font of the letters is incorrect and there was never any such transmission as an" M40 4 spd auto trans". Perhaps this was provided to you when you bought the car. This is very misleading to a potential buyer and I am sure you would agree that this would be fraudulent to let someone believe that this was original documentation. I wanted to inform you so that you can do the right thing.

Sam"

-------This guy always has a different car on E-bay. You can tell his adds by the tree in the backround. I would be willing to hazard a guess that he has been sold a bill of goods on the car by someone else. His cars are too varied for him to know much about any one type. All that matters little in the scheme of things. Way too much wrong on this old Chevelle to even warrant a looksee in person, IMO...........Bill S

In the description he list the transmission as 4 SPD Auto Transmission-L78. That alone has to make the car worth $500k. He also has a 68 Chevelle SS convertible listed with a 136 vin number. It has a small block but he says he thinks it is an original 396 car.

M40 4speed automatic with a JD 4 speed engine. Totally black grille. Black rockers. I'll sell you a real L78 car for $40K. Of course it's not as nice as this car. Hmm.
