we used to build briggs & strattons for go carts (12yrs old)and they will stand up to about anything you can throw @ them. you can get cams heads pistons etc for them.

Dad and Mo were pretty heavy into carts with Briggs engines...how serious you ask? They had a dyno, flow bench, and a cam grinder! I wish I woulda had 'em build me an engine for my mower!!
