I want to get the advance curve set on my GM points distributor from my 455HO T/A. I would prefer not to ship it as it is pretty much irreplaceable. (it's a 1112126) Does anyone out there in NY, NJ or PA have a Sun Distributor Testing machine?

If you can't find a dist. machine, you can set the curve yourself with a good dial back light and a recurve kit. Not difficult to do, just a little time consuming to get it right.

Verne, I would be interested in that as well. Had my 488 dist done by Jerry, but messed with it cause my 350 ran real bad. turned out the machine shop did not seat the valves right and I had very low vacuum. Now that that is fixed, I would like to get the dist back to where it was.
Steve, how is it going? I've been enjoying the TA thread! it is coming together. My driver is in the body shop and more metal is being replaced than I thought. Isnt it always that way ![]() Thanks, Kevin

Thanks for the tip Verne. Hey Kevin. I've been plodding away on the T/A. I finally found a date code correct 1112126 455 HO distributor on E-Pay (and you guys think COPO parts are hard to find!). I had an NOS 1112145 (standard 455 4 bbl application) and swapped all the internals to the 1112126 body. All the clearances were right on spec, I just want to set up the thing so the curve is right.

Verne, I called him and looks like we're on for next week. And he's only about a half hour from me. Thanks again, Steve
