Default 1969 L-89 car

Not sure if any or all of the following apply:

A. The guy is a fake
B. The guy is a scammer
C. The car is made of plastic
D. The seller has smoked to much crack and needs $ for more.

Under 7K for this car...heck, the interior and the wheel/tires are worth 7K!

How about E = all of the above.

The auction is a scam. He has hijacked someones ebay account, and wants you to send him some deposit money.

The key is he wants you to send him an email before you bid to a different address. If you Ask the seller a question through eBay. the jig will be up. the real person will know about his acount being taken over.

This auction will be cancelled soon. Don't bid.

That's giving ebay too much credit, Lee. From what I understand they could be doing a lot more to curb these scam auctions. IMO, its the ebay community that's stepping up and trying to do ebay's job for them.

Rainer:

CONCUR. I suppose I was a little trigger happy with the compliment. Considering I almost got duped with fraud advertisment not long ago, I'm happy to see any scam get shut down expeditiously. And, now that you mention it, I bet it was a hobbyist effort that put the squash on that add vice the sleuth, and vigilant efforts of the e-bay enterprise.

Hello and thanks for your interest in my car.

First of all, let me assure you about the performances and about the condition of it. The car is in a perfect shape with no damage,no scratches or dents, never been in any accident, no hidden defects, and it is as advertised.
I'm the owner with the title in hand and the transaction can be completed quickly. You will receive all the papers and documentation, the clear title and the certificate of origin and all the bills and invoices. There is no liens on the title and you will not have any complications about the registration and licensing the car.

The car is sent to a local warehouse, in Montgomery ,NY and from here it will be shipped from. I'm in a trip in Canada and they will handle the shipping for me! The car is ready for delivery as we speak, sealed and packaged so we can close the deal as soon as you're ready. To tell you the truth I am forced to sell this car as my sister is very sick and need a marrow transplant and as she need it quickly I have to sell my car as soon as possibile to help her.I am right now with her in Canada where the transplant will be made.So even it is pretty hard to do it,to save a life I think it worse.

The price for the car is 6,800.00 US Dollars.Of course there are a lot of money, and that's why all I can do for you is that you make an upfront deposit for 50% ( 3,400.00 US Dollars ) so I can be sure that you realy are serious to buy my car.
The shipping costs are deducted from the price so there will not be any additional costs or charges for you regarding the shipping. This is the final and total amount to pay.
I will only close the deal through eBay Motors Protection program.I am eligibile for their protection for transactions up to $20,000.s against fraud and material misrepresentation through the Vehicle Purchase Protection program. This program is provided for free on all eligible passenger vehicle transactions completed on the eBay Motors site. There's no sign-up, opt-in, or registration necessary. Your passenger vehicle purchase is protected for up to $20,000 or the vehicle purchase price, whichever is lower. Learn more at http://pages.motors.ebay.com/service...rotection.html

If we will agree the terms of the sale, I will register the transaction with eBay Motors. You will send the money to their staff, they will verify the payment and if everything is in order, they will advise me to shipp the car. After you'll receive the car, you'll have 5 days period for inspection. If you deciede to keep the car, eBay will release the payment to me. If, for some reason at all, you don't want to keep it, there will be no question refund back. But, I'm sure this will not be the case.

So, eBay will release the payment to me only after you'll receive and test the car.
I hope you'll agree with my terms and we'll finalize the transaction smooth and fast.

If you're further interested, REPLY WITH YOUR FULL NAME AND ADDRESS and let's conclude this deal.

Thanks for the conceded time and I'm waiting for your reply.
