Yep, they are done. According to Ford, they made a lot less than they had planned. There were a lot of production problems, AND, greedy dealers trying to make more that the $16k profit + 2% holdback didn't help sales at all.
I think I just heard 1700 were built in 2005, '06 might be 1000 cars ... a far cry from the 4000-5000 everybody was thinking would be built. Colin |

So Ford Shoots themselves in the foot again, Whats new? With all that money and talent they could have built several flagships that would have stood the test of time. Instead all theyve done is keep the Mustang in production and for several years you couldnt even call it a performance car. When the Ford Family lost control of the company it hasnt recognized the performance enthusiast/hotrodder as someone they would have envited for dinner. I'm presently building 2 Cobras along with my 68 RSSS396, one Aluminum and the other fiberglass. Without privateers like us Ford would have little to hang its performance hat on. Too bad guys like Tucker & Delorean didnt survive, they would have brought genuine enginuity to the table along with a whole lot of competition.

I have to disagree. They built a killer car. They say they made money doing it and got alot of posotive PR from it. They had planned to pull the plug from the beginning. They just decided to pull it earlier. |

i wonder if their pulling the plug early so they can get that cobra concept out early?. I thought the car was nicly done and well advertised. I think it was a success in their eyes.
