it has been interesting to follow the thread dealing with the original owner yenko nova. the owners seemed to me to be very happy over the years with " their baby". i wonder do we get distracted by too much of a good thing? is our enjoyment of the hobby diluted or out of balance when our time is spent wondering how much we will make on the next car we turn over for a profit, instead of driving and enjoying the sweet pleasure of going back for a moment in time? " a moment in time when muscle cars ruled and life seemed more simple? how many cars are enough?

Did you see Don Fezells' collection featured in the March 06 issue of Hemmings Muscle Machines?
I've never met the man,but he sounds like a real true enthusiast with interests in so many different things. Now that's a collection I would like to have. Proof you can never have enough! |

When I had 4 collector cars,I never could seem to get them all running at the same time. Now that I've sold one,it's still a huge chore just to keep all of them maintained...let alone drive them all on a regular basis.Weird stuff seems to happen when you don't drive these cars regularly.
I cannot imagine how some guys do it with multipule (more than 4) cars...I just don't.

I've thought about that many times. I think about the particular cars I'd love to own and then I realize if I actually had them I would never be able to enjoy them all. So I just try to enjoy the 1 or 2 cars I have. It's a shame that the prices have gone through the roof taking the hobby out of reach for a lot of people, but then housing prices have done the same thing. I applaud the people that can put together these impressive collections for others to enjoy. Just think, 30 years from now there will be a group of people sitting around staring at a collection of Accuras, Toyotas and Mitsubishis thinking the same thing.

One is more than enough for me, and I can barely afford that the way prices are going anymore.
