Default Yenko Vega

Were settling my dads estate, and he left his girlfriend what he always called a yenko vega. Now I know that sounds to good to be true, but its a 1972 and he knew about cars. What should I look for that would verify that it is a yenko?

Does it have a dealer on the back, possibly from one of these dealers?:

Stocker Chevrolet, State College, PA
LeFever Chevrolet, Millersburg, PA
Marshall Chevrolet, Reading, PA
Country Chevrolet, Tremont, PA
Klinger Chevrolet, Sacremento, PA

How does your Vega compare to this (raced prepped) Yenko Vega? I had the chance to take a couple of shots at R&S before the new owner took possession. Should have bought it when it was offered to me a few months ago.

I just looked under the hood, I always thought yenkos had a V8, once I saw the 4 banger, I really didnt look any farther. Didnt notice if it had any dealer name on it. Its orange with a big black stipe down the center. Ill get some more info later.

Valve covers were also a catalog item, as were the stripes and other options. Did you get the vin# info?
