If in fact the suffix code is IV instead of 1V then it could be one of the following:
If small block - 1969 350, TH400 for a taxi. If big block - 1965, 1967 or 1968 396/325 auto. It is most likely the 1967 396 based on the VIN derivative.

Thanks, Dave, I,ve just seen pics. of the engine, definitely a big block. The person who owns it claims it is out of a late 60's SS Impala so your info. is most likely correct. I would think the horsepower would be 325 on this particular car/engine combo. Thanks again, Joe

I think on the pad date the suffix is IV which is a 67 big car 396 - 325.
