I found a 70 Z/28 with large spoiler, 4 speed, original engine, all matching#. What month did the COPO option become available. I have the mag with the Orange one on the cover but left it at home so I have zero info here..
(nevermind, I found it here..) http://nastyz28.com/

I hope you don't mind me piggybacking on your post . . .
Why did the new spoiler require a COPO designation and not an RPO designation? |

The three piece spoiler used a Pontiac center with (originally) special made end pieces to match the Camaro fenders. I have a dated GM drawing, as I remember January 70. Will check it to be sure.

Dug the three piece spoiler instruction sheet from the archives. Dated June 70.

My 70 Z is an 06B car and has the 3 piece spoiler. It's removed for restoration at the moment.
