Interesting to note that the California equipped Z28s only had the 305 smog engines available and that the ETs quoted in the magazine were for a 305 equipped car.

The 350 Z28s tested by TI, Were running almost a full second quicker. The low compression 350s were a good match for a turbo charger, as long as the water injection was working to minimize the detonation at full boost.

So according to the article the Yenko 350 would be legal for California--I wonder if a California dealer could have ordered a 350 Z for sale if it was to be converted to Yenko specs ?......
