Paul,
WOW your the first person Ive ever seen that knows of Pollard-Ravenscroft. I own a 67 Corvette purchased at that dealer. I have my POP and warenty book, I wasen't really sure if they were even a Chevrolet dealer. I have searched for years for a plate frame, good luck, and of course if you find two or more let me know. Did they even have a frame have you ever seen one? So what do you own from there?
do you have a any other info on the dealer? zone and code? picture? I'll keep you posted on my progress also.

Kevin

Kevin,

I PM replied to your PM. I have some original paperwork from a '64 Nova bought new from there that may have some of the info your looking for. I also have a plate frame (one) dated '70-'78 from when their name was changed to Pollard-Wittman-Robb. I'm not sure if they had earlier frames. I'd love to see an early pic of the dealer. I believe the original building is no longer standing. Yeah, let me know what else you find and I'll let you know about anything I dig up.

Thanks, Paul

OK... Here is a little more info from what I've found. This dealer started in the '20s (1928?) as Pollard-Ho Chevrolet Company, then at some point changed it's name to Pollard-Ravenscroft Co., Pollard-Wittman-Ravenscroft (late '60s?), Pollard-Whittman-Robb (1970-78). In '78 Robb left the Chevrolet/Mercedes Benz dealer and I don't know the folowing history. Attached is a pic of a plate frame I have from Pollard-Whittman-Robb. I'd like to find a Pollard-Ravenscroft frame if they existed. Does anyone know if they did?

Thanks, Paul

Paul,

Nice plate frame, I now think there must be an earlier one. I'll keep looking.

I'll keep my eyes open on the West Coast. I'm not far from Van Nuys.

Nope...just wishing I did?
Can you confirm Pollard-Ravenscroft's Zone/Dealer Code as 20/403 or please post it if different?
I expect Hatch Chevrolet is where one of your other cars is from, was it El Cajon or the Los Altos location also if the latter, can you confirm that Dealer Code too please?
