Default 1969 Pace Cars

I need this information and know no other place with more informed people so here goes. I own a decent 69 396/325 mn car and presently concidering a new project. I have found a 69 bb pace car that does not have a engine. I have a couple 69 referance books but can not find out what engines came in the bb cars. Were all(325,350,375 hp)three offered? Just curious. This will not be a concours type restro but I like to keep it as close as possible.
Thanks,

Pace Cars had the same bb engine availability as any Camaro SS. The most common would be the L35 325hp (19.3% of SS) L34 350hp is the rarest (5.8%) and the L78 (14%). 311 L78s also had L89 aluminum heads.

If your car has dual fuel lines or A/C it could not have had an L78 engine.

A popular Camaro fairy tale is that only 34 Z11s had 396 engines. 39% of Camaro SS had 396 engines. Allowing for a wide margin for error certainly 1,000 Z11s or more had 396 engines.

Mr. Hawaiian Camaro; Do you have any trim tags showing the useage of a "911" Dover White paint code on any 12xxx9 Camaro F-Body's?? I'd LOVE to see that documented!!

The 911 code is part of GM's RPO code shown on the window stickers and shipper copies, not the Fisher paint code shown on the trim tag. All of the 69 Camaro option codes consist of 4 numbers starting with the number 5 and have a two letter suffix, hence the complete code shown on the window sticker is "5911CC 50-50 Dover White". None of these RPO designations are the same as the paint code designation on the trim tags. Since GM wrote the letter anouncing the introduction of the Z11 it only makes sence they would use their designations instead of Fisher's codes. The two letter suffix usually (in the case of non paint codes) coincide with the broadcast code of the part, or parts that make up the option. In the case of paint codes the two letters are always the same, in this case CC. I'm not sure but these letters may just be a carry over from the original paint code from 1967 for an ermine white car (code C), or they may be a master list of colors that designates what letters go which which color.

From that dot.org Camaro site this bulletin is in;
"Shortly after the Z11 was produced there was also a special run of '69 Camaros called the Z10, which is believed to be a regional promotional item for certain southwestern and mid-western states"
I do recall a friend here locally who had copies of pictures from the press releases showing the Z10's actually at Indy!
I will try to get ahold of him and see if he kept these after he sold off his collection several years ago....
