Default Need info on 69 firebird convertbile 400 HO?

Not to familar with early firebirds but have chance to buy a numbers matching 69 fireird conv 400 ho 4speed car. How many did they make and what is value for one needing light resto but driver cond now. What ways can you verify car? Thanks in advance.

If it has opt. RA, it's a good car. I did see a decent blue 4spd convt in N.Y. on ebay. I have a 69 RAIV/4spd silver convt. I really love the 69 birds.

Sounds like a neat car. Pontiacs don't bring what an equivalent Chevy would though. That's not all bad, you get a lot of car for the price. The 400's are underestimated by everyone who hasn't had one. Mine will easily pull away from big block '69 Chevelles, and I don't have ram air. I do have a/c, power windows, tilt, power trunk, a hood tach, power brakes and power steering, and on and on. You wouldn't find all that in very many Chevy's.

My prediction is Firebirds will come back price wise big time in the very near future. They were a more expensive car originally and will climb soon, but will never reach Chevy prices.

Remember, the price guide is not a bible. When was the last time you saw a base Firebird convertible sell for 42,000?
