Default 67-69 Camaro NOS Sill Plates WITH RIVETS

This is my last pair and I can honestly say that when these are gone that will be it! I have a beautiful pair of genuine GM sill plates for 67-69 Camaros with rivets holding the "Body by Fisher" emblems on. These are the genuine article. The GM wrappers are old and brittle. These are a MUST for that concourse COPO, Yenko, Baldwin or Nickey Camaro. A real "in your face" part that shows up well. I know the rules state I must post a selling price so here goes: $2500.00 for the pair......that is a starting point and I am open to legitimate offers.....many thanx!

There is documentation on the internet on how to put the rivets in a set of repo sill plates. I have seen both and you can not tell the difference, as a matter of fact there is a company who will do it for you.

This is a quote from Dante he sent it to my email instead of posting on the website.
"yeah, thats a great story except there is one little problem with your

> than a rounded rivet.....what was was the purpose of your little story

I have no doubt that your are real, but most people can not afford to pay such a large amount for sill plates nor do they deserve to have points taken away if they are willing to go through a little effort in order to make their car "more" correct.
My point in posting the link was to let others know that there is an option as far as the rivets in the sill plates go.
As far as the correct rivets, If I were installing them I would go to the fastener store and make sure that the ones that I bought matched the ones in the old sill plates.

Hey Guys,

Look at this way: If someone wants to pay the dollars let them have at it and by all means be sure to let all of us know about it. On the issue of what is correct, if the rivets are there you get points. I am sure GM had multiple suppliers for these parts and some deviation in a mass production part for finish shape existed in the rivets.

When I judge I do not pack a magnifying glass to check the shape of the rivet on the sill plate.

If I recall correctly there was also a fisher plate with faux rivet "bumps" used on some Chevys instead of actual rivets.

Does any one recall this type? I am pretty sure I still have an example - with the original plastic still on it.

My vision is 20/20 and those rivets looked fine to me. (I guess that disqualifies me from ever judging cars at the musclecar show.) Besides, in my humble opinion, if you need to spend that much for correct sill plates, you're probably having more fun beating the car show nit-pickers than just enjoying your car. Some guys need to spend $2500 on sill plates so they can win the $15 car show trophy and the subsequent bragging rights. Oh well, to each, his own.

I'm slowly coming to the conclusion that a flat-black Model A sedan with a 327/Muncie/9-inch and five spokes would be a whole lot more fun than my '67 SS/RS 396. Less nit-picking, cheaper parts, and nothing is "incorrect."

But, I can hear it now: "Hey, a 327's wrong for what you're trying to do. It should have a flathead."

Maybe I'll stick with my Camaro for now...
