Default Big Block valve cover advice...

I'm putting a 427 into my '69 Chevelle as I write this.

Question - I'd really like to use a set of after-market repro "MOTION" valve covers as shown, see pic, as I'm shooting for an SS427...

...but, I have power brakes, and am concerned as to whether these will clear or not. I've been told they will fit a '69 Camaro with power brakes so a Chevelle should be less restrictive.

Any help is appreciated, my block is in the machine shop now.

Edward.

Ed, I've got a set of original finned aluminum Rocket Racing products SS427 valve covers that were sold through Motion Performance. They are chrome plated aluminum and have SS427 badges attached. Not cheap, but they can be bought, let me know if you're interested. They're in mint condition and would be perfect on a day 2 "SS 427" Chevelle resto.

I'm interested in seeing them, however I'll be out of town until after the holiday.

Can you either post a pic, or e-mail me one?

Hey Erik - If Edwards decides to pass on the valve covers, I'd be interested...PM or email me if he decides not to take them.

Hey Fred, ...go ahead and pursue, you have my permission. If I had the "real deal" I would definitely invest;

I would still like to see the photos though erik - in case I'd like to replicate some "day 2 for my day 2" over the others I've seen.

Those look awesome! They just don't make the cool stuff like that anymore... I can't picture a big block wearing anything else than finned valve covers.
