Default frame primer and paint

I'm going to be priming then painting the frame of my ls6 soon and was wanting an opinion on what are the best and concours correct products to use???

k92, Don't be discouraged if you don't get a reply quickly this time of year, it seem alot of the guys that normally post are probably no were near a computer. Anyway, do a search under "frame paint" and you'll get the answer to your question. I know cause I asked this particular question a bit ago.

I use PPG products, primarily their DP90LF. Now that the good stuff, (bad for the environment), has been taken out of it, I think it's best to top coat it with some semi-gloss top coat - Deltron etc... But, put the good etching stuff on the bare metal first, don't forget to put the top coat on within 7 days max or lifting might occur.

If possible shoot the topcoat on right after the dp flashes out. That way you don't have to go back and sand/scotchbrite the dp. Schonye
