Central Chev in London Ont. sold a one. Originally sold it to a woman who traded in her COPO Chevelle to buy it. Car is suppose to be alive and well. Last I heard, it was out west. Not sure of any others.

I'll check on that, I know it has paperwork and was at the L88 'Quake in '88' in IL.

Beare Motors, in Port Perry, Ontario sold a blue L88 Corvette in '69. It was sold to someone in the US several years ago. Beare Motors is long gone.

The white M40 L88 coupe from Canada belongs to Frank Stech in NJ. He is the judging chairman for the Delaware Valley NCRS chapter. Not a nicer guy in this world.

Pete: Do you know if the rest of the rumour about this cars history is correct or not? The story goes that Dave Mather being the salesperson for this L-88 had to take delivery of the car in Detroit and drive it back to London due to the fact it was a heater delete car and could not be shipped into Canada. Dave did this in Jan. or Feb. in sub zero weather and had a very difficult journey.

Don
Not sure.... Just spent the day with Dave about a week ago. I'll ask him next time I'm at the track. This will be the car that the lady who bought the red COPO Chevelle brand new, and traded it in 4 months later to buy this L88 Corvette!
