I know a guy here in NJ that claims he has a white COPO Camaro. The cowl tag has the X44 D80 which makes me think it's a real COPO. But, the engine, trans and rear are long gone. Has anyone ever seen the X44 & D80 on a non COPO Camaro?

Yup. On several cars. One still had the original 307 and POP.
Jeff, if you send me the #'s I may be able to tell you if it is a COPO or not.

I don't think I ever got all the information from him. I have his phone #, but I never went to look at the car since so much of the COPO stuff was gone.

Jeff, you know the stuff to check for including the dual exhaust, single 3/8" fuel line and evidence of factory cowl hood set-up. These would be very strong indications.

I'm not thinking about buying it or anything. I was curious about the X44 D80 combination. I've already got my 69 Z28 JL8 project thanks to Charlie.
