Recently Anthony has had some two and three groove 67 BB cast iron crank pulleys for sale and I ask him if he’d like me to post this picture of my three groove pulley set up on my 67 car.

Some people don’t understand why some cars use a two groove and others a three groove. Hope this picture is helpful to someone.

I've always understood it to be alt, water pump, power steering if using all 3 grooves on the balancer pulley are used...

How does that work? No adjuster to install it and no way to tension it.

Kurt, a few trips to the NAPA store to get one the right size. Take the two groove water pump pulley off put the belt in the grooves then back on the pump n line up everything. Kinda PITA.

Not sure what GM’s thinking was there but if I break an alt belt I can still get back home because the water pump is driven by the center belt. Hope my battery holds charge that long. LOL 😆
