Default Dave Lindsley's Brother Introduction- Dave's L78 Nova

Members,

I'm Dave Lindsley's brother Marty. A few of you already know me. I wanted to introduce my younger brother Jamie to all of you.

Jamie recently aquired Dave's 1969 L78 Nova. He's rather new to the muscle car world so please be patient with him. Lol. I told him the first thing he needed to do was join the supercar website and reach out to you all for help.

I'm hoping Nova Joe, Tony, Mike Crown, Mark S., Mark G. and the rest of Dave's old buddies can assist Jamie where I can't. Also, Bruce, I'm sure we can count on you to show Jamie around.

It's AWESOME that Dave's last remaining car is staying in the family.

I have to tell you all that I'm actually sitting here getting emotional remembering how great all of you were to Bird and I when we lost Dave. You guys are the greatest.

Marty

Hey Anthony! Hope you, the family and the Camaro are doing well. It was you I was referring to when I said "Tony" in my post. I forgot you go by Anthony.

That is easily the nicest Nova I've ever seen in my life! I remember so many good times involving Dave and that car. The first time I ever saw that car I commented on the perfection of the body and paint. He was sitting in his chair chewing on his cigar and replied, "Yup, it was blocked with hundred dollar bills!" I loved the stories he had about his brand new 1970 L78 Nova back in PA. Dave left a great impression on me, I'm very glad that car is still in the family... I think it was his favorite

Hey Marty. This is Mark G. Welcome Jamie. Happy to help as i actually owned Dave's Nova prior to the person he bought it from in San Diego and went with Dave when he bought it. My dad bought the car in Youngstown,OH and i bought it from him and brought it to CA. Send me a message and we can connect up. As you know it is a real deal documented L78 Nova. I can share some additional stuff on the car. Mark

Thanks everyone for making me feel welcome! I'm pretty green in the muscle car world, but remember going to shows w Dave over 35 years ago. Also handing Marty wrenches, as a kid, when he was pulling and rebuilding motors.

One question would be how the choke would have been set up? I believe Dave liked to remove auto, or manual choke, and leave it hard fixed in 1 place. looking for any info, to start my knowledge base. thanks
