I thought I would share my newest hobby which is restoring Mallory distributors. Only have a few but I have grown to really like these things. If anyone has any parts or interested in having one restored let me know.

I had Jim (Bubba) Lindy at Bubba's Ignition restore my Mallory Ignition. Not only does he completely rebuild and the housing and shaft, but he has most parts in stock and if anything is worn he replaces the worn parts, spins them up and tests everything prior to shipping them back in 100% working condition. He's been doing it for 40 years and does a great job. Good hobby to have, but working parts are getting hard to find for these.

I guess if you are the type to just send something out to have it rebuilt vs wanting to learn how it works and to be able to say that you rebuilt/restored it. To each is own. ![]() Btw why did he or you paint the distributor and looks like the cap it too.. |

I have used pertronix in them

Pertronix is an easy conversion, but they are only good to about 6K rpm.
Not a good match for the rpm I like to shift at in a solid lifter motor.

Then you hijacked the thread to redirect attention and undermine his post. You’re probably not a bad guy, but these posts are far from helpful. |
