I have these two heat stove parts that are supposed to be for '69 but they are different. The original looking one was in the trunk of a '69 396 Caprice that I had and the one that's been painted came with some manifolds from a '69 BB Impala. They are the same except for the mounting bracket. Can someone ID these for me?
Thanks, Chad |

Chad, the one that's been painted looks identical to the one on my survivor 69 Chevelle SS396 convertible with Turbo 400. Aside from the fact that the Impala's 396 is a 2 barrel and the Chevelle's is a 4 barrel, I believe that air cleaner base and snorkel is identical on the two cars, hence the heat stove assemblies should be identical.
I have a picture of mine off the car, but it's too large a file to post here ![]()
